Terry here:

At 6:34 last night we turned off of 7th Ave onto Main Street S in Joplin, MO, and thus ended this leg of our journey on Rt 66. We started at Washington Ave and 6th Street in amarillo, TX, and saw ??? miles. This trip has been a long time coming for Peggy and I. I look forward to her continued documentation in the days and weeks to come. We have enough pictures from 3 days of travelling to keep Peg busy writing for weeks to come.

I love bridges, and I think the highlight for me (other than Big Brutus) was the Rainbow Arch Bridge just outside Baxter Springs, KS. Lots of pictures were taken. We also saw the Pony Bridge in OK, and many truss bridges I can’t think of the names of right now. If you get a chance, get in the car and take a road trip with your loved ones. There’s history and neat stuff within an hour of just about anywhere.

I’m sad it’s over, but I’m also ready to be in my own bed. Y’all keep checking in for pictures and commentary on the trip.

Very interesting pictures…looks like fun…I went to high school just 20 miles south of Joplin, MO! Safe travels and talk when you get back.

Is Peggy OK?

I can’t believe it’s all nearly over already! Still, I can relate on the bit about looking forward to your own bed.
