with, like, NO humidity. My word it feels good here. I even needed a light jacket this morning.
We spent the morning with Grandmother. I took her for a ride in Carmina, top down, all over downtown Amarillo. She loved it!

At lunch, Grandmother was kind of tired, I mean, at 97 one tends to tire. So while she napped, Sweet Daddio and I took in the sights. We went out to the Famous Cadillac Ranch which was…well…kind of erm…disappointing. I mean, we drove by and I was all “THAT’S IT?!” but we pulled over and watched other people be really excited about it and that was kind of fun.

One woman even dressed up her dog for the event.

We then drove out to the completely unknown Combine City, on the Claude Highway. Unlike the Cadillac Ranch, which had people crawling all over it, there was no one at all at Combine City. It was also fenced off with barbed wire, sensibly so because one wouldn’t want the liability of small children climbing on those things and getting irrepairably damaged. It was pretty cool to look at, even if the idea wasn’t exactly original.
